It's been since June that I last wrote. What a slacker!!!
I haven't had much to write about...I haven't been running...haven't done much hunting...haven't been riding...just lying around being a worthless slug.
I'm signed up for the Pear Blossom run in less than 2 weeks (April 9th), and even though it's only a 5 k it's going to kill me. I ran 3 miles about 1 1/2 weeks ago and almost died...and that was at a pace that I probably could have matched WALKING!!! It's going to be brutal.
The weather here has been really cruddy. We had temps in the 50s and low 60s in January, and now that it's spring and the weather is supposed to be better it's snowing, windy, and rainy every day. I can deal with running in the snow or rain, but throw in 20 to 30 mph winds and it takes away any inclination I have to go.
Since I'm posting on here again (I'll try to make a commitment to continue) I'll need something to write about, so I'll also commit to a regular running or cycling regimen. Today will be the first day. I'll go a minimum of 2 miles.
There. That's my commitment.
Good job you for getting going again. Now stay committed!! Stop whining and complaining about the weather and just get out there. On the really crappy days you know you could go to the Y and run on the 'mill. Seriously though, glad you ran, hope you run some more. Look forward to running with you in a couple weeks. :)
ReplyDeleteThe only running that's bearable is when there's something else involved, preferably a ball, to distract you from the monotony of running. What do you people do to keep yourselves from getting bored? (From Jeff)
